Crazy Love

If you haven't noticed, there is an interesting phenomena happening.

There are a few different books and at least one documentary movie on the topic of Crazy Love, which you can find quite easily at bookstores and movie rental places almost everywhere.

I discovered the first Crazy Love at church months ago. It was written by Francis Chan, one of my pastors at Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley. He writes about the overwhelming and amazing love of God towards people who are known mostly for attempting to escape that love. It is also a call to those who have experienced that love and to walk and live lives in response to that love. God's was the crazy love.

I discovered the second Crazy Love in Blockbuster last week. It's a story about an unusual couple who didn't seem to fit together, one tried to kill the other, went to prison, and seems to have stayed together. Theirs was the crazy love.

I discovered the third Crazy Love yesterday while listening to NPR on the way home from work. It is the personal memoir of Leslie Morgan Steiner of the way her ex husband beat her and abused her during the entirety of their marriage. They got divorced and she wrote about it 20 years later. Hers was the crazy love.

It's kind of crazy, if you ask me, that there are these three things being presented to the world at the same time. Her love, their love, and His love. And it makes perfect sense that His is the only one that lasts forever.
